The Next Generation of Pannier Backpacks

If you forgot how the whole conversion between Pannier and Backpack works, we made this nifty little gif for you!

What are the new features / improvements on the 2020 Pannier Backpacks?
Strap re-design for more Comfort, function and safety
New air mesh foam strap construction to keep you cool. Newly designed adjustable sternum strap and new subtle, yet extremely powerful reflective design.
You will also notice a super handy side strap attachment for an umbrella, lock or surprisingly handy attachment for carrying a camera tripod!

Overall Backpack Fit / Strap Adjustments To fit all shapes and sizes
The backpack straps have been fully re-designed.
Both sides of the lower strap now adjust for a tighter or looser fit around the bike rack. We also re-configured where the lower straps attach to the backpack straps. We brought this connection up higher on the straps and tweaked the length of the top straps providing a much more adjustable fit for all heights and sizes.
Thank you all for your feedback on this! We needed to hear it in order to make this work for as many body types as possible!

New bright, Internal lining – to help you find your gear faster

Quick Dry waterproof coated bottom and toned down branding

Improved padding & cushioning in laptop pockets

Improved mounting system attachment to Carry heavier loads
One thing we noticed from some of our harder core customers this last year (that we weren’t happy about), was the Kompakt Rail system had snapped from time-to-time under heavy loads. (of course we cover this under warranty and always take care of our riders!)
But this year (although it’s hard to capture in photos), we have beefed up to a 4 bolt attachment on the hardware from the Kompakt Rail mounting system to the bag. Instead of the previous 2 stock bolts used to secure the mounting system. This keeps the rail from bending under heavy loads. So go ahead and load up the kitchen sink in 2020.

Modular Attachment System (M.A.S.) to carry small bike packs with helmet holder / lash points

Bonus!

You shouldn’t have to haul around a plastic bag to keep your dirty stuff separate from your clean (or electronic stuff). Sometimes you hit a mid day work out and sweat (a lot). Sometimes the ride in was sopping and your socks are like soup. Or do find yourself hauling a wet swimsuit or towel? Stop wasting or (hopefully) recycling those plastic bags. Reduce your impact and opt for The Wet Sack. It packs away into a tiny ball that can fit in one hand and expand big enough to comfortably haul a pair of size 12’s.
